Pirate's Bay at Charlotteville is probably the best anchorage of Tobago - although it can get swelly with Northerly winds.
Here we find what we have been dreaming about for months: just a few meters through cristal clear water to a little beach. Even Mila and Max get there swimming.
Charlotteville is a sleepy little town. Not much to do and buy here (except for fresh fish).
 After the rain in Charlotteville.
The Argyle waterfalls are not spectacular, really. But it's a nice walk through the rainforest to get there.
Yachties do not always feel welcome in Tobago. Of course, cruising ships offload hords of wealthy tourists who do not mind paying rip-off prices - a much better deal for the locals. And when the tender of a cruising ship almost sinks our dinghi and damages our outboard, nobody cares. MS Seabourne Pride has lousy helmsmen in their tenders and their captain does not have enough character to stand up for the damage done. We later heard of other reasons why you would never want to sail with them.
Almost all the boats on the way from Brazil to the Caribbean meet in Charlotteville: Tao, Saltimbanque, Quetzal, Baal, Mila, Watussi, Dolce Vita, Amigo, Damischa Ridda, Nadir, Antedon, Anahita ... Here a picture from a party at Sharon's restaurant (the best place in Charlotteville) with friends we know since Itaparica.
